Disable Code
Procedure for Handling Employee Presence Alerts
When an alert is triggered due to the presence of an employee at a GAP store, follow these steps to archive and prevent repeated alerts:
Archive the Alert:
Confirm that the individual is an employee based on the established identification guidelines.
Archive the alert in the system to mark it as resolved.
Enter a Disable Code:
After archiving, navigate to the ‘Code Entry’ tab to enter a disable code.
Entering a disable code will snooze the alarm for approximately 2 hours, preventing repeated alerts from that store or camera.
Format for Disable Code:
Standard Format:
GD<store number>.Remove Leading Zeros: When entering the store number, discard any leading zeros.
For example, if the store number is 001234, enter it as 1234. Thus, the disable code would be GD1234.
Exception to Leading Zeros:
If a store ID has fewer than 4 digits, add a zero to make it 4 digits.
For instance, for store 713, enter the disable code as GD0713.
Important: Only use the disable code for alerts triggered by an employee's presence. Do not use it for UAD (Unassisted Delivery Drivers), non-person events, or any other type of alert.
