Purpose of the Tasks

• Licenses and Configurations Management ensures that customer accounts are set up correctly and that services align with purchased features.

• Camera Storage Stream Setup ensures cameras are properly configured to store high-quality video files and provide reliable monitoring.

Both tasks are critical for maintaining system functionality and ensuring customer satisfaction with the Dragonfruit platform.

Licenses and Configurations Management

This task involves managing features for customer accounts via licenses and configurations on the Dragonfruit app.

1. Licenses: Licenses dictate the specific services provided to a customer, such as cloud backups, people and vehicle detection, or fire and smoke detection. Supervisors and employees must:

   • Log into the Dragonfruit app, select the correct customer account, and navigate to the Licenses tab.

   • Review, add, or modify licenses for individual channels or locations based on customer requirements.

2. Configurations: Configurations involve fine-tuning backend settings that affect the user experience, such as NAS settings, video retention policies, or camera controls.

   • Navigate to the Advanced tab.

   • Adjust settings at various levels, such as customer-wide, location-specific, or channel-specific, depending on the requirements.

These actions ensure that the customer’s account is configured correctly to deliver the desired functionality.

Setting Up Storage Streams for Cameras

This task focuses on configuring high-resolution storage streams for cameras used in generating video files for long-term storage.

Prerequisites:

• Information such as the Channel ID and RTSP stream details (IP address, RTSP port, and server URL) is required.

Steps to Configure:

1. Select the channel where the stream needs to be configured and set the entity type to Channel.

2. Provide the required details (IP address, RTSP port, server URL) in the configuration profile.

3. Add and save the configuration, ensuring it appears in the Active Configuration section.

4. Verify stream parameters (resolution, FPS, codec, format) for both the main and storage streams.

Verification:

• Navigate to the Locations tab and open the settings for the relevant channel to confirm proper configuration.

• If discrepancies are found, create an Asana task for customer success to address the issue with the customer.
